UltraLite Studio Beehive Pro Kiln-120V

The New UltraLite Beehive Pro Studio Kiln is an upgrade from the original Beehive model which is no longer made. 

The Beehive Pro Kiln has a larger heating element (3-1/2" diameter compared to original that used a 3" diameter) which creates a much larger heat sink to accommodate large pieces. UltraLite Kilns are very energy efficient and only cost pennies per hour to operate. 

Use the Beehive Pro Kiln for granulation and for firing hard enamel on metal. You can also use it for firing metal clay, fusing glass and Keum-boo. It's 3-½" (89mm) diameter ceramic embedded recessed element reaches a working temperature of 1600F (871C) with the lid in place, 1150F (621C) with the lid off. 

Use with the optional Metal Clay Firing Disc Set for curing and for firing metal clay pieces.

Use with the optional Red-Brass Keum-Boo Covers to moderate the kiln's heat which is required for doing Keum-boo.

Use the optional Mica Disc to protect your element from while enameling and fusing glass

Use the optional JEC Max Studio Enameling Trivet and the optional Bendable Wire Enameling Trivets to hold pieces while enameling

Use the optional Mirror Finished Flat Cover for brief moments (up to 5 minutes) to increase temperatures (+100F) while enameling larger pieces.

Includes a domed lid, 8" spatula and a hot pad to protect the tabletop and stabilize the kiln even during the roughest burnishing process.

The Beehive Pro design is so efficient it has a larger element with a larger heat sink but uses the same amount of electricity as the original Beehive model.
