Additional Information on Ordering Silver Sheet

Sterling Silver sheet is available in master sheets that measure 6" x 12". We will cut to order full inch lengths from 6" x 1" to the maximum sheet length of 6" x 12". Cuts are only made along the 6" width. Prices listed here are by the inch and represent your cost of a 6" x 1" piece at today's silver market. For a 6" x 6" continuous piece, order a quantity of 6. For a 6" x 2" continuous piece, order a quantity of 2, and so on.

If you would like to order several different sized pieces of the same gauge silver sheet, order the total number of inches in your cart and then tell us how to cut the sheet in the comment field box that appears during checkout. We only cut along the 6 inch length by the full inch from a minimum of 1" and a maximum of 12". For example, if you want to order one piece of silver 6" x 1" and one piece of silver 6" x 2" of the same gauge, order 3 in your cart and then in the comment field box that appears during the checkout process, type in a message telling us that you want one piece cut 6" x 1" and one piece cut 6" x 2.

All of our sterling silver sheet is 1/2 hard.  1/2 hard sterling silver sheet has a Vickers Hardness rating of 90-100.  Dead soft or annealed sterling silver sheet has a Vickers Hardness rating of 66-76. It is relatively easy to make your silver dead soft by simply annealing with a torch or in a kiln; however it is more difficult to take dead soft sheet and harden it, let alone make it exactly 1/2 hard. Sterling Silver is a traditional alloy of .925 silver and .075 copper.
