Speedwire Silver 30 Gauge Laserwire With Dispenser & Refills

Speedwire is a revolutionary laser welding wire dispenser that solves the problem of how to precisely control and place laser wire.  This Speedwire dispenser comes pre-loaded with specially formulated H-80 silver laser wire which is an alloy of 80% silver, the balance being copper and a small amount of zinc. It is a good laserwire for silver repair and works good with eyeglass repair jobs too.

The laser welding wire is housed in a sealed see through compartment in the rear of the dispenser.  To use the laser wire, simply move the rollers forward with your fingertip to precisely dispense the wire through the stainless steel guide tube. You can also move the rollers in the opposite direction to retract the wire. Because you are no longer holding laserwire directly in your hand, the chances of an accidental finger burn are greatly reduced.

 

Speedwire saves time and improves accuracy when laser welding. The wire is supported by the stainless steel tube as close as 2mm from the weld.  This allows the laser operator to easily control the position of the wire.  Because the wire is fed out by fingertip control, it is not necessary for the laser operator to move their hands or the work piece.  This saves time used in repositioning and refocusing.

 

Speedwire is color coded for metal type and clearly labeled with wire gauge and metal quality. The annealed coil of wire is kept clean and tangle free.  The remaining wire can easily be monitored preventing unexpected wire shortage. Speedwire dispensers and refills contain 10 feet of laserwire, in either 32 gauge (.008"/0.20mm) or 30 gauge (.010"/0.25mm) diameter. Speedwire laserwire is karat material and not solders, as laser welding uses the parent metal as the filler.  The results are seamless joins that wear and tarnish at the same rate as the remainder of the piece.
