This bench includes a centrally located GRS type steel bench anvil for accepting the popular GRS dovetail mounting system.  GRS attachments sold separately.  For a selection of GRS attachments, please see related products below.  We recommend the purchase of a GRS dovetail fixed mounting plate 104.557 and a GRS bench pin kit 104.556 to get started.

This is the newest and largest of the Durston line of jewelers workbenches, a double bank workbench called the Goldsmith Work Bench by Durston.

With a design very similar to our made in the USA John Frei double bank workbench.

This bench ships in one box and requires assembly. The main body is in one unit and the legs, side panels and back panels need to be attached. Assembly is similar to the other Durston workbenches.

1-1/2" solid wood oversize top with heavy leg supports make this a solid work station for heavy engraving blocks or even heavy forming tasks. The ergonomic wrap around catch tray gets you closer to your work.

This is truly a heavy duty workbench, crafted from solid premium hardwood with high-density fiberboard. The bench top is 1-1/2" thick and is surrounded by a high railing to keep things from rolling off. Each bank has 6 drawers for storing tools with easy pull knobs with the top 2 drawers slightly smaller than the bottom 4 drawers. The center working area has everything a premium workbench could want, a metal lined catch tray, a protective sliding wood catch tray cover that you can use to keep unwanted materials from falling into the catch tray, a single tool drawer and a pull out soldering station installed with a vermiculite soldering board. Completing the main work area is a central GRS ready steel heavy-duty mounting plate, left and right side mandrel hole and 2 arm rests.

The assembled bench is 63" (1600 mm) wide by 24-7/8" (610 mm) deep by 39-1/4"(1010 mm) tall and weighs in at a very sturdy 200 Lbs. (91 Kilos). Shipping weight is higher. 

These benches are packed very well so you don't have to worry about shipping damages. The size of the carton is too large for standard ground shipping so we must ship these benches via truck freight. Truck freight delivery is "door to door" and does not include inside delivery. This bench is packed in one very large box! The packing box measures 42" x 36" x 64" and weighs 242 Lbs (110 Kilos.).
