Pinch posts are for use with military clutch back grip fasteners.  These posts have a groove, called a "pinch", so they snap into the workings of grip fasteners securely. Pinch posts can also be used with tie tack clutches, but tie tack clutches grab by friction only and not by grabbing a groove. These Nickel Silver tie tack posts are 0.045" (1.15mm) in diameter.  The longest (1/2") one is not pinched. They will work with the 385-70, 386-70, 385-71 and 386-71 military clutch backs and the 385-61, 386-61,385-62, 386-62, 385-63, 386-63 & 386-64 tie tack clutch backs.

They will not work with the 386-60 and 385-60 tie tack clutch back, or any other clutch back that is not for a 1.15mm diameter post.

These tie tack posts all have fusion nibs for fusion tack welding or laser welding. The nibs can be quickly removed with a file if you need a flush surface for conventional joining. Made with the USA
