Metal Base-Fits European Charcoal Blocks-140mm X 70mm

Metal base used with standard size (also called medium size) European charcoal blocks.  Made to fit the  European Compressed Charcoal Block  Standard size 154.150 and the European Natural Charcoal Block Medium size 154.178.

Both those blocks measure: 140mm x 70mm x 32mm (5-1/2" x 2-3/4" x 1-1/4")

Untreated new blocks are slightly larger than the Metal Base. After wrapping and heat curing (conditioning) your new block the block should fit right in.  

If you don't wrap and cure your block you will need to sand down the sides of a brand new block just a little bit to fit. You can also stretch the metal sides of the Metal Base.

Charcoal blocks shrink when used.
