Glardon-Vallorbe Barrette Parallel Escapement Files - LE3011

Swiss made Glardon-Vallorbe Barrette Parallel Escapement files have square handles. Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut and measurements do not include the tang. Escapement files are also called Watchmakers files.

Barrette Parallel escapement files are parallel in width and tapered in thickness coming to a rounded point at the tip. Only the bottom of this file is cut, leaving a safe edge and top.

• Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Escapement Files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to when the cut stops.  The tang or handles are not included in this measurement.
• Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Barrette Parallel Escapement Files are graded with a number from 2 for coarsest to 6 for finest. Remember, the higher the number the finer the cut.
