Glardon-Vallorbe Barrette Escapement Files - LE3010

Swiss made Glardon-Vallorbe Barrette Escapement files have square handles. Escapement file lengths are measured from tip to the end of the cut and measurements do not include the tang. Escapement files are also called Watchmakers files.

Barrette files are tapered in width and thickness, coming to a rounded point at the end.  Only the flat side of a barrette file is cut, leaving a safe edge and top. 

Measurements given are at the thickest point.

Things you should know about ordering Escapment files:

• Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Escapement Files are measured from the point where the teeth begin to when the cut stops.  The tang or handles are not included in this measurement.
• Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made Barrette Escapement Files are graded with a number from 0 for coarsest to 10 for finest. Remember, the higher the number the finer the cut.
