Foredom S-93/77 Shaft 39" & Sheath Combo

This factory-assembled Foredom S-93 Inner Shaft (39") & S-77 Outer Sheath (36-1/4") combo is pre-lubricated and ready to install. It fits most Foredom key-tip flex shaft motors, including the SR, TX, and LX series and their variants. Sometimes referred to as a Key Tip Motor Shaft and Sheath, this is the standard length assembly supplied with many new systems.

Installation & Use

1. Unplug the motor before any maintenance.
2. Remove the old shaft and sheath; inspect the sheath for wear or internal scoring.
3. Attach the S-77 sheath to the motor, then insert the S-93 shaft fully until engaged.
4. Reconnect the handpiece and run briefly at low speed to confirm smooth operation.

Notes / Service Tips

• Never operate a Foredom motor without the outer sheath attached.
• If a shaft has broken inside the sheath, the sheath may be damaged. Replace the sheath to prevent premature wear of the new shaft.
• Re-lubricate per Foredom’s maintenance interval or if operation feels dry.
• For increased reach, consider longer factory shaft/sheath combos (sold separately).
