EarthCoat Activator-T Dry Acid Salt

Activator-T™ is a mild acid activator that removes oxides and micro-etches to promote strong metallic bonding for initial and continuous plating. Mix as needed with water and use after electrocleaning to brighten and activate parts. No rectifier is required. Supplied as a 2 lb powder concentrate for economical make-ups.

Compatibility

• Activates and mildly etches white metal, brass, bronze, nickel, steel, silver, and gold.
• Do not dip zinc in this solution.

Notes / Safety

• Use in a well-ventilated area; wear gloves, safety goggles, and an apron.
• Never add powder to water heated above 140 °F (60 °C).
• Avoid prolonged skin contact. Do not mix with ElectroKing™ below 100 °F (32 °C).
• Change solution when activity drops, pH rises above ~2, or bath becomes noticeably dirty.
