Product Details

Bloodstone is part of the Chalcedony family with an opaque dark green background with red flecks. Popular in Christian and men's jewelry, it was thought to bring healing and stop bleeding by Medieval and Renaissance Europe. Early Christians felt the red specks represented the blood of Christ at the foot of the cross. Bloodstone is an alternative birthstone for March. Clean with warm, soapy water. Avoid use of ultrasonic and steam cleaner.
