CASTALDO LiquaGlass Clear liquid molding rubber is a 2-part zero shrinkage molding rubber for making see thru rubber molds. CASTALDO LiquaGlass is not a silicone rubber and requires precise measurement by weight of both part A and part B, which are mixed at a 1 to 1 ratio. It is recommended that a scale is used that is accurate to 1/10th of a gram when measuring the material. CASTALDO LiquaGlass also requires vacuuming. Castaldo LiquaGlass cures at room temperature (77^oF-25^oC) in a minimum of 24 hours.

Porus surfaces such as wood, terra cotta or plaster must be sealed to prevent the rubber from penetrating the pores. Several coats of paster wax, allowed to dry and then polished, or melted paraffin, PVA (polyvinyl alcohol solution) and potters soap all work well for certain surfaces.

This kit contains 450 grams of part A and 450 grams of part B. A typical 1" mold frame (122.627) will require 77 grams of both parts.
