LiquaCast® Long-Life is Castaldo’s yellow, 0% shrinkage RTV liquid molding rubber engineered for extended mold life, added strength, added tear resistance, and a firmer feel. The firmer durometer helps maintain delicate detail during wax injection—ideal for thin filigree, fine channels, difficult undercuts, spirals, and CAD-CAM resin or wax patterns.

Key Features

  • 0% shrinkage for dimensional consistency of patterns and castings.
  • Firmer, tougher rubber for durability and tear resistance through repeated use.
  • Low viscosity for easy measuring, mixing, vacuuming, and pouring.
  • Easy 1:1 mix ratio by weight or volume—simple, reliable processing.
  • Designed to resist softening or degradation when molds are stored properly over time.
  • Compatible with most CAD-CAM resins/waxes; use a barrier coat if required (see Notes).

Compatibility & Applications

  • Jewelry and small-parts molds requiring high detail retention, especially thin/filigree designs.
  • Most CAD-CAM printed resins and wax patterns; for certain resins use barrier coat and/or mold release (see Notes).
  • Works with vacuum degassing. If no vacuum pump is available, pressure curing in an empty (unheated) wax injector pot is an alternative.

Notes / Care & Safety

  • Store finished molds in airtight containers away from heat and light; do not store in contact with molds made from other rubber types.
  • Some resins may soften or adhere; use a barrier coating (e.g., PVA, spray paint, or Castaldo resin release) and then apply release spray as needed.
  • Avoid moisture contamination; do not mix in paper cups or with wooden tools.
  • Use gloves/eye protection; ensure adequate ventilation. See SDS and product labels for full safety guidance.
