Build a consistent, high-quality finish across a wide grit range with 3M’s 268L Microfinishing Film in a convenient kit. Each pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) sheet measures 11.5 x 9 in (292 x 229 mm) and features micron-rated abrasive for predictable, repeatable results. Kit includes one sheet each from 180 to 1200 grit (80–9 micron).

Use & Instructions

• Cut sheets to shape with a dedicated pair of scissors (film cannot be torn by hand).
• Peel the thin clear liner and apply to clean, dry surfaces (laps, steel mandrels, plastic forms, table tops).
• To clear loaded debris, place the film in an ultrasonic cleaner for about one minute, then resume sanding.

Applications

• Progressive refinement and pre-polish for jewelry metals and bench work.
• Flatting and shaping on laps or adhered to custom forms.

Notes

• For best adhesion, degrease the surface before applying the PSA-backed sheet.
• Dispose of worn abrasive responsibly; recover sweeps from cleaning where applicable.
