Our copper sheet metal is sold with one side protected with a removable plastic coasting to help prevent scratches that can occur during shipping and handling.  This side should be smooth and scratch free.  Sheets come straight from the mill and are not otherwise polished or finished in any way. Sheets can have natural surface discolorations that can be polished away.
