Combination Bench Pin & Anvil

For supporting pieces being flattened, and laying out work. Flat anvil is smoothly finished. Adjustable clamp enables you to use it on benches up to 1 3/4" (45 mm) thick. Clamp this on any worksurface and you have the basis of a jewelers workbench.  Made in India.

The top flat steel anvil measures 2-1/2" across by 3" deep.  The back of the top flat anvil is slightly curved.

The bench pin is narrow compared to other bench pins we sell being 1-11/16" (43 mm) in width. The size of the bench pin once installed is 1-11/16 (43 mm) wide by 4-1/4" (108 mm) long and 7/8" (22 mm) thick at its thickest point that then tapers down to 1/8" (3 mm). The bench pin tang is 1-11/16 wide by x 3/8" thick by 3" long.  The slot is 1-7/8" (46 mm) wide by 9/16" (14 mm).  The bench pin is most commonly made from Rubberwood harvested in Asia, a good quality medium hard wood that is fast growing and sustainable.

Wood bench pins often require modifications to the tang shape to fit tang slots and most jewelers will do custom modifications to the working end of a bench pin to suite their needs.
